28th May 2010
Friday

I had the most awesomest day ever! <3

Breakfast at Yulek, with me not eating because I said I wasn't really hungry yet, which shouldn't  be the excuse though. Haha. But who cares? I was happy. =D
Man, a bowl of noodles, 2 egg tarts and a siew pao? Gosh, he really can eat man! =P
Oh, and I visited my old house. Aww, I miss my room. *nostalgic*

Since I didn't know what was his plan for the day, I just went along with it. He drove and I just waited expectantly. With all his 'lies' to cover up where we were going, he came with up stuff like, going to the temple to pray since it was Wesak, and going to Batu Caves to pray as he bought so-called tickets for some sorta monkeys show. LMAO. Well, apparently, someone didn't know Batu Caves is the holy place for Indians and NOT Buddhists. =P
And not telling me where he was actually heading to which ended up paying RM1.50 toll just to U-turn back to Mid Valley. Oh, how hilarious can that be man. =P

Due to his plan which did not include going the wrong way and needing to make a huge U-turn besides having to pay extra toll for it, we couldn't make it for the 11am movie for Prince of Persia. That left us to watch Nightmare on Elm Street, which he planned to watch as well, at 11am. So be it then.
Nightmare on Elm Street at 11am. =)

Synopsis: Based on characters created by Wes Craven in his 1984 sleeper horror hit, Freddy Kruger returns in "A Nightmare On Elm Street", a contemporary re-imagining of the horror classic. A group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, the can protect one another... but then they sleep, there is no escape.

Honestly, that Freddy Kruger looks really scary man. I mean, he was all burnt and looks distorted and ugly. OMG. And with his sharp pincer-like-I-dunno-what-you-call-that-thing hand, he really could be everyone's nightmare man! Oh, and his voice and with his turning-around-poise and the song he kept singing. Geez, he's creepy. =S I hate to admit it but throughout the whole freaking movie, I almost got scared the shit outta me man. =P
Oh, thanks so much for the incessant reminders of how I reacted when I got freaked out at certain parts by someone. That should sound sarcastic by the way. LMAO.

Oh, my poor stomach kept growling in the cinema. HAHA. Thanks for skipping breakfast, Claira Chan! =P

Afterwards, we left for Leisure Mall. Umm, I wasn't sure if that was what he had planned actually. But, what the hell, he said we were going for A&W what. I've been longing for A&W ever since someone promised to take me there to eat it. Well thanks! =D

We had another movie at 3pm, which was after having A&W. Man, the fries were delicious! Oh, let's have that more often! =D

Oh yeah! Prince of Persia! Man, I've been wanting to watch that since I knew of its existence. LOL? Whatever. =P No, I wasn't that enthusiastic of watching it like how I used to for Toy Story or Pirates of the Caribbean those kind. But since it's a Jerry Bruckheimer's film and it's also from Disney's Motions Pictures, so why not? I'm game for it! =D Gosh, I totally love Jerry Bruckheimer's films and also Disney's. Love love love them! =D

Synopsis: In this most anticipated game-to-movie adaptation, we follow Prince Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) as he teams up with Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) to stop a ruthless leader from laying his hands on the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can be used to reverse time and rule the world.

(Source: Cinema Online)

Well, to be honest, I wasn't that keen about this movie earlier. Someone asked me if I wanted to watch it was because there was a snake in it. Well, kinda. LMAO. =P Oh, seriously, I like to see snakes. Well, they amaze me. =D
After I've finished the movie, I think I love it a lot. Umm, though at certain parts, I had the feeling that the movie is a lil long-winded. And hell yeah, I saw a review at MSN that has proven my hunch. Lemme show you the review.

Director: Mike Newell
Who's in it: Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina
What is it about: In case you are not familiar with 'Prince of Persia', the movie is based on a video game of the same name. Set in medieval Persia, the movie revolves around a rogue prince, Dastan (Gyllenhaal), as he teams up with rival Princess Tamina (Arterton) to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time - a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world. Of course, hot on their tails is evil ruler Nizam (Kingsley), who wants the dagger for his evil plans (cue evil laughter).
What we love: The CGI for the movie is first class; we have to give them that. From the conception of medieval Persia, to the epic castles and the time-travel effects, the graphics will leave you completely breathless. The stunts and fight scenes were very well-paced. And not to mention that girls can always drool over the hunky Jake Gyllenhaal (who is shirtless most of the time) and for the guys, Gemma Arterton is hot times a hundred.
What we loathe: We are not sure if it's a magic trick or something, since we are talking about the Sands of Time, but the movie is really slow at times. A couple of times, we looked at our watches and thought, "Wow, this movie is loooonngg!"; only to realise that it's only an hour and a half into the movie. Also, we didn't like the fact that Princess Tamina is a cool, no-nonsense princess at the beginning of the movie, only to turn into a clingy, whiny and annoying one later. And what's with the British accent? Jake's not even British.
Watch it or ditch it: 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time' is a huge special effects extravaganza and you will not be disappointed. However, while we would go so far into saying that it's one of the best video game-to-movie adaptations ever made, it fell short for us. Judging by the cast and huge production budget, it could be better. We recommend that you go into the cinema with low-expectations and who knows, you might be surprised. 2.5 stars

They gave a 2.5 rating on it. I do not rate movies as far as I am concerned. HAHA. But nonetheless, I enjoyed the movie. It had some comedic scenes in between. Oh, and I especially am entertained by that entrepreneur guy who manned an ostrich race and had beautiful girls who worked as 'waitresses' that served those race betters. LMAO. This entrepreneur had a right hand man, whose name I couldn't quite recall it, but as far as I know, he was from the Ngbaka clan. Yeah, that was what the entrepreneur said. And the only reason I remember this 'Ngbaka' word is because that ostrich guy kept repeating it to Dastan! HAHA. Hilarious man! =D
Oh, and Princess Tamina, she's a total charm I tell you. I love her sarcasm and bickering with Prince Dastan in the beginning of their not-so-friendly-friendship. Fine, it wasn't friendship at all. They were always arguing alright! But they're adorable in some ways though. =D
OMG, and there's the snake! Gee, I love snakes! I mean, I just love looking at them. They're, interesting? LOL.

Anyway, I couldn't locate any pictures (though I only made a few searches through Google and Yahoo =P) concerning the snake in the movie. All I found was this. That was the scene where Dastan said, "Give me the dagger!" You know, that voice clip was played in the trailer as well. Oh, maybe I should post its trailer here too. =)

The movie was awesome. I mean, I enjoyed it thoroughly apart from feeling a lil long in the middle. Strange huh? The duration for this movie is almost the same like any other; approximately 2 hours. Gee, look at this picture below. I totally love it!

Candid!
I was given a treat to Kong Woh Tong for a small 'zhung' of Gui Lin Gao. It's been quite some time since I've eaten that Chinese delicacy. It was really unfair you know? We had a bet and I won but in the end, someone did not stick to that deal! =PPP Which ended up I have to eat Gui Lin Gao.
Well, I did take a longer time finishing that bowl of delicacy than he did. It was bitter. =( Yeah, I 'complained' and I kept adding sugar into it for the ample-th time. LOL. I felt great finishing that! HAHA.
I drove back to his house after that. I totally understand how tiring it was to be driving me around whole day, so I guess it was my turn then. Heck, at least that was part of my promise to self you know. Really. I've promised myself to get my driving licence before my birthday, and I did it. I also promised myself that I would drive on my birthday. So there, I did that as well yesterday. It was worth it. =)
I had confronted him about the 'surprise' plan which didn't turn out to be that surprising actually. Haha. But still, I'm really really really thankful and appreciative for all you have done man! <3 =)
So there we were, at Liew's house, spending the rest of the night enjoying steamboat together. =) Epic. Oh, and there was a chocolate cake! Thank God someone didn't stop me from eating that due to my sore throat. =P
Dinner was good. Presents were great. The night was awesome. What more could I ask for right? I totally love the night.
I wouldn't ask for more than to have such a bunch of friends. <3

A huge thanks to all who celebrated my birthday last night and those who wished me. Thank you lots! =) *hugs*

GSC. Mid Valley. Leisure Mall. A&W. Kong Woh Tong. Kelisa. Presents. Steamboat. Liew's house. Birthday. Friends. Smile.

Yesterday and the day before were full of drivings. Yup, Thursday and Friday. It was sorta our so-called driving plan you know. You know, just driving your car aimlessly, dunno where exactly to go, but just enjoying driving on the road. Uhh, that's supposed to sound FUN. Really.

But we had fun though. Lots of fun, even more than we could ask for.

On Thrusday, we drove to Stamford College, which turned out I drove the wrong way. That was  not good. I searched Google Earth and was so sure of the route to the college and when I was actually driving there using the Federal Highway (i think), I took the wrong turn. I was supposed to go straight along the highway but what I did was go up  the bridge. Thanks a lot for that and for us not making a U-turn immediately, we got lost in the labyrinth of PJ routes. Mind you, there's old PJ and new PJ man. It was truly a maze.

What was more, it rained cats and dogs afterwards and there were some roads that were flooded. Man, it was not a good experience to drive under such harsh conditions. No more next time please. *promise to self*

Well, our 'hardship' was paid off in the end though. Thank God. We managed to get to Stamford's old campus and then moving on to the new campus without much trouble later on. Thank God for our safe though treacherous journey. =)

After leaving PJ, we headed downtown and in no time, we were at Ampang already. Silly we may have been, we went to Carrefour Ampang. Yeah, because I wanted to buy yoghurt? LMAO. =)

                                                                                                                                                                                            ______

On Friday, since badminton was cancelled, we went for another of our ridiculous drive plan again. =D This time, we were really driving around pretty much with not much sense of direction. =P Len Sen, Eddy's house (didn't go in though since Eddy was at college), he slept, I drove, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, passed by Carrefour Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, off to Mahkota Cheras, parked at Jusco Mahkota Cheras for 5 minutes before leaving the carpark and driving off to Surfine Hitech. Lmao. Man, if I had known we were to be at Jusco Mahkota Cheras' carpark for only 5 minutes, I wouldn't have done reverse parking! It was awesome dude! Haha. *another attempt of my self-praise which you shouldn't take it too seriously. thanks*

The chapter at Surfine Hitech should never be mentioned ever again. It was just way too embarrassing! Thanks a lot to you! =P

Oh, and finally, we went to Look Out Point. Seriously, going to Look Out Point at such weather? It was as though the sun's beams were purportedly shooting down on us.
                                                                                                                                                                                            "You some more wear singlet."
                                                                                                                                                                                            "It's so hot la!"

It really was one crazy day man I tell you. Honestly, have you met any other people this crazy? I'm asking you, duh! =P

Hell yeah, those 2 days were fun. Way to awesome to be actually happening. =)
Once mum has taught me another way to Taylor's, we'll definitely have another one of these typical drive plan yeah? =D

                                                                                                                                                                                            Drive plan. Random. Awesome.

                                                                                                                                                                                            xoxo

when everything fits the word 'typical'

                                                                                                                                                                                            18th May 2010
                                                                                                                                                                                            Tuesday

Look at the picture above. No, really, look at it will you? Aren't the shuttles just colourful? Totally reminds me of the plastic shuttles that we used to play as kids. Ain't it? =) *nostalgic*

Oh, and we had badminton yesterday evening at Pudu Plaza. This was so because for two weeks starting from yesterday, Stadium Badminton will be hosting an event. So, yeah, I guess for 2 weeks we would have to play somewhere else not Stadium Badminton. =S

Badminton last night was, umm, ludicrous? No, seriously, it was still okay at first. But later on when I paired up with Liew while Birdie paired up with Sue in a doubles match, I ended up laughing so hard until my stomach hurts. Seriously, that Birdie was mimicking me man! And I couldn't stop myself from laughing unnecessarily which resulted in us losing point after point. My bad. =P

                                                                                                                                                                                            =D

Oh, and, I had my first driving disaster yesterday. Gosh, it was my second day of driving alone and there was mishap already. Well, mishap isn't the right word I guess. It just makes it sound so, terrible! But it was terrible at first, or so I thought. Later when I thought about it, it sounded funny to me. =P Yeah, typical me. Thanks.

I was okay, the car was not. The right side mirror broke off. =S
                                                                                                                                                                                            Pity you, Myvi. *innocent smile*

                                                                                                                                                                                            16th May 2010

Before I forget, today is Teacher's Day. And for that particular reason, I would wanna wish my all-time favourite teacher who has taught me since I was Form 1, Ms Chooi, Happy Teacher's Day! =)

Oh, yesterday was a great day. I had great fun! =D Thanks to my 'great' driving. Well, it was really great for me though. Haha. The thing was, I actually planned to practice parking just around my condo parking lots. But somehow, I had a kinda strong urge to drive outta my condo parking lots. And yeah, I really did drive out.

Mum had many reminders for me before I went out. And luckily she wasn't at home so I could drive out alone. Yes, that was really crazy of me but yeah, I did it as well. Thank God for being with me though. =)

Mum also reminded me not to drive too far away. Nearby my condo is enough already. But, well, Ampang Tasik or whatever that was called wasn't that far right? Well, that Ah Liew's house to be exact. =)

So, yeah, I asked him if he wanted to me to fetch him, and for no reason I do that you know? But being such a dummy of him, he agreed and yeah, I successfully made it to his house. Thank God I remembered the way man! =) And thank God I made it safe and sound, no accidents. =)
And I think I didn't swerve to the left that much already right? =D

I drove to his house, then off to The Challenger to book a badminton court for the night and then back to his house. I dunno what was that all about but hell yeah, it was down right FUN! Haha.

Well, there were some difficulties at some point you know. Like, the forked road in front of Stadium Badminton Cheras. That, I had some difficulty moving to the right. And just outside Hui Ping's house, at the traffic lights. I had a hard time moving outta the lane as well. I avoided roundabouts when I drove alone. Honestly, I still dare not drive at roundabouts. Mum told me not to anyway. Haha. But Ah Liew somehow 'guided' me through 3 roundabouts I guess. =D

I made it back home safely. Well, apart from my failed attempt of reverse parking which I accidentally bumped a lil into a motorcycle in front, others were still fine. =) Okay, the motorcycle did not drop if you wanna know. Just a slight bump and I thought better of it to continue with my reverse parking. Haha.

Yesterday was all about driving huh? And that was spontaneous driving! As in, you know, one text and outta the house and who knows where to next. I just love that kinda fun man! =D
We should probably do that more often yeah? =)

And guess what peeps? I just got my very own car keys!!! Well, I don't really own a car yet though, but owning your very own pair of car keys just gives you that sense of liberty and a lil authority you know. Haha. I'm going insane, spare me. =)))

Yes, it's Su Munn's birthday today. But since we can't celebrate it today as she gotta go to college today and some have to go to school and college while some working, we celebrated her birthday last night. Well, the thing was, En Hau, Eddy, Birdie and me went to Leisure Mall in the afternoon. I did not even foresee that celebration coming. I just thought we would go to Leisure Mall to just hang around and chit chat.

Birdie suggested that we have others to join us after their classes or work and then celebrate Su Munn's birthday. So for the whole afternoon, the four of us sat at McD and chatted until Liew and Ah Loke came. =)

Here's how the plan worked. Ting Sen would fetch Moong and Sue. Liew drove to Leisure Mall from Cempaka station right after his class, while Ah Loke would meet us at Leisure Mall as well. How impulsive! Haha.

5 cars. Birdie with his dinosaur-us 4-wheel, followed by Liew's Kelisa, En Hau's Myvi, Ting Sen's Myvi and lastly Eddy's Kancil. That was really funny. =D

It was a surprise to Su Munn, really. Thanks to her sis, our plan worked. And really, it was the first time I've seen her in tears. That is, in happy tears. <3

                                                                                                                                                                                            you're God's gift

                                                                                                                                                                                            Sunday

I love my mum, though I never say it all the time. Sorry for that, mum.
Well, of course, there're always times that you scold me and nag at me and I would complain and grumble when you're not listening. I ignore what you say sometimes, it's rude I know. I'm sorry for that.
Seriously, I would never say such things with my own mouth man. It just sounds, weird? I would have goosebumps saying those, maybe? It's just tooooo emotional! Haha.
So it's better I express it here and hopefully you'll never ever find out about my blog. I'll have a really hard time explaining all these if you ever knew about my blog. =D

Of course, there are loads of crazy times we had together. Well, only you and I know what we've been through. I would never ever trade it for anything else. Not even the world. And though I may compare you with other mums sometimes, I never regretted having you as my one and only mum. Never ever will I replace you with other people as my mum. I'm really saying this from the bottom of my heart okay? Gee, that's why I won't ever choose to express this verbally. It makes me wanna cry. <3

I love boiling ABC soup with you.
I love the time we had living in Len Sen.
I love eating ABC with you at Brickfields.
I love sitting in your car while you deliver papers to your customers, cause I get to know more ways. =P
I enjoy your lame jokes sometimes. =D
I love how good you are to me. *almost in tears*
I feel touched when you say you love me to me but I dare not say it back to you, cause I just dare not.
I was touched when you told me you bought chocolate and asked me to eat it but I said I didn't really like almond actually and then you bought raisins(which is my favourite) the next day.
I remember the first time you taught my to drive using your car.

Expressing this makes me feel like a brat, a spoilt child. Maybe I'm never that appreciative. Maybe I always take things for granted. Maybe I'm just too selfish. I'm so sorry. =(

Right, I'm not supposed to sound so emotional man. But, it's true you know, I enjoy the times I had with you. Well, that is of course for the happy moments only. Cause whenever you scold me or nag at me, it's not enjoyable. Haha. =D
                                                                                                                                                                                            You're the greatest mum ever!
                                                                                                                                                                                            <333

You're one true friend to me.
                                                                                                                                                                                            <333

                                                                                                                                                                                            You deserve much better.

                                                                                                                                                                                            Saturday

Firstly, the pillow method Edd taught me really works. I said, "Dear pillow, let me wake up at 7am tomorrow morning." last night before I dozed off. And hell yeah, I was kinda awake even before my alarm went off. This is not superstitious or what okay? I guess it's just the mindset you know? Your mind wants you to get up at a specific time and your body makes you compel to  your mind. Something like that, I guess. =DDD

Anyway, I really woke up at 7am by myself today. That should be a thumbs up to myself man! =) But I still lingered on bed just to see if you would really give me a call should I not wake up at 7am. Haha. =PPP

By 8.40am, I was outta my house. Leaving off for breakfast before heading to Mid Valley. Oh, by the way, I drove when we went for breakfast. Oh-kay, seriously, do I always steer to the left unconsciously? I mean, man, you kept steering the steering wheel to the right. Gosh! Haha. Yeah, yeah, my bad. =PPP

By 10am, we were at Mid Valley already. Okay, we were like, so early? It was really the first time I've seen Mid Valley so not crowded. Haha. Umm, empty? But it's not really that empty anyhow. Just kinda, less crowded than usual. And what was most significant was the queue at the cinema. That was just perfect man! No rush, no worry. =) And yeah, 2 movies as decided; Furry Vengeance and Toy Story 3D Double Feature, which I've been soooo looking forward to watching it man. Finally! =DDD

We had like, an hour to waste before the movie starts? So we went into this CD store which was actually very cool you know? Cool in the sense of its outlook and interior designs? LMAO. Well, it just gave me that classic music haven feel. Haha. Anyway, we were just browsing through the albums. Well, to be exact, we weren't JUST browsing through. We were actually trying to see if there's any Arctic Monkeys albums. Apparently, there's none. Too bad for yeah! Haha. Never mind, I'll tryna get one though. =) *caring*

It just struck me at that time that I actually intended to get mum a mother's day gift as well. And coincidentally we were at the music store, so I asked if there's any Norah Jones album. There was just one though, and it costs 40+ bucks. I almost bought it, but having second thought, I said I'll look around first. Besides, I actually wanted to buy a book for mum. So it would be better I have a look around MPH first before settling with the album. =)

I bought a spiritual growth book for my mum in the end. <3
Happy Mother's Day! Love you lots, though I never say that. Haha. Sorry bout that though. =)

                                                                                                                                                                                            Furry Vengeance was at 11am.

Synopsis: "Furry Vengeance" is a live action family comedy in which an ambitious young real estate developer, Dan Sanders (Brendan Fraser), faces off with a band of angry animals when his new housing subdivision pushes too far into a pristine part of the wilderness. Led by an incredibly clever raccoon, the animals stymie the development and teach our hero about the environmental consequences of man's encroachment on nature.

                                                                                                                                                                                            (Source: Cinema Online)

Honestly, to me, Furry Vengeance was really awesome! I like Brendan Fraser, I've always liked him. He's just so hilarious man! In Mummy series, he's the really cool and funny dad. Gosh, I love him! =D Uhh, well, he's much fatter now though. I wish he would have back his 10-years-ago body shape. Haha! To tell you the truth, I laughed my all throughout the whole 1 hour and 32 minutes of movie man! Man, I never regretted watching that movie. Okay, my movie taste is good right? =PPP

Had an hour's break before locking ourselves in the cinema again for another 3 hours and 11 minutes. Haha. And that was when I went to MPH and bought mum's book. Gosh, I think you totally need one of those books for dummies man! No, seriously I mean it. I should probably get one of those for your birthday instead of an Arctic Monkeys album. Haha! =PPP

Alright, Toy Story 3D Double Feature at 2pm then.

Woo, my second time watching 3D movies. =) And yay! I got to wear 3D spects again. LMAO. Forgive my hyper-ness please. My bad. =PPP

Synopsis: They're toys, they talk-at least when people aren't around-and they're back... celebrating the return of the "Toy Story" franchise-in Disney Digital 3-D this time! TOY STORY, the film that started it all, takes moviegoers back to that fantastic fun-filled journey, viewed mostly through the eyes of two rival toys- Woody, the lanky, likable cowboy, and Buzz Lightyear, the fearless space ranger. The comically-mismatched duo eventually learn to put aside their differences when circumstances separate them from their owner Andy and they find themselves on a hilarious adventure-filled mission where the only way they can survive is to form an uneasy alliance.

                                                                                                                                                                                            (Source: Cinema Online)

Well, basically, it's the same old Toy Story 1 and 2 but these were in 3D. That's just it all alright? And well, I mis-blamed (what word?) The Clash of The Titans' 3D effect earlier. This wasn't of much difference too. It appeared blurry when you're not wearing the 3D spects, and it'll be crystal clear when you put on those spects.

Toy Story 1 was not that exciting though. I never watched Toy Story 1 before but I've watched the second part before though. Yeah, on TV3. =D It turned out that Toy Story 2 was better than Toy Story 1. I almost wanted to sleep for awhile during the screening of Toy Story 1, but thought better of it. So I could only rest my eyes for a lil while during the 10-minute break before Toy Story 2 continued.
Okay, I spilled a quarter of the popcorn on the floor. My bad. Gosh, I suddenly got so excited with the movie and lifted my leg and, well, the popcorn spilled. =P
Fine, fine, fineee, my bad. Haha. =D

Between these two movies we watched, I still prefer Furry Vengeance. It's so not a kids' movie okay? Haha. =D It's a comedy.

                                                                                                                                                                                            ______

I remembered the way to your house now. Really, if you trust my driving skills, I promise I would give you a ride after I get my licence. =DDD I'll try my VERY best not to steer to the left again. Really, I promise. Haha! =)

                                                                                                                                                                                            ______

I gave mum the book. I said, "Hope you'll like it." Mum said, "I will love it." Feels totally appreciated. =)

Ooh, and I guess you really can't stop yourself from talking right? Just like a bullet train. Haha. =PPP I guess I'll just let you do the talking next time and I'll just reply you with sign languages, though I know none of it. =P Gee, I love sign languages. Haha! I bet you had a hard time making me to speak right? I can't blame you though. Like I said, a book for dummies really can help you A LOT man. =) Trust me.
                                                                                                                                                                                            X hand sign. =)

Thanks for the day, though I didn't get to drive much. =) Still appreciate your efforts for everything? Haha.
