as The Script sings, for the first time

I'm baaa-aackk! =D

Oh, just for the record, I'm done with my self-initiated Penang tour last week and here's what's taken place.

Weeks earlier, I was suddenly struck by the though of travelling alone. Yes, going solo, that is. Not because of loneliness or whatever you wanna call it, but maybe it was just the urge to try out something new and exciting that all this while I've not experienced before. Not even to mention that I am what my mum termed as, 'not seasoned traveler'. Yeah well, that's why I have to put my first step forward in order to upgrade myself to at least a partial seasoned traveler. XD

I was kind of looking forward to this trip to be honest. Being there at the bus terminal at the KL Train Station, I think, and literally counting down to the exact minute when the bus finally revs up its engines and rolling its wheels. And though it may sound a tad bit childish or clingy or anything you could think of, I had the sudden welling of tears in my eyes when I was about to leave. Oh well, not really welling but the feeling when your eyes seem to burn when you know you're about to cry. Yup, that was the feeling I felt. But nonetheless, I was OKAY! In fact, I was perfectly fine. ;P Just, well, like I said, everything has its first time and no doubt this was one of them too.

The journey was um, what I should call, excruciatingly LONG. It was a 4-hour drive and yes of course, we have stopped for a 20-minute break in between. But still, it was super long. Thank God I was able to handle it for both to and fro journeys. Snapping random and silly pictures of mostly scenery. The whole journey, well almost, was only what appeared to be rows of trees, trees and trees. And maybe plantations and crops. And at one point after we've reached Ipoh, I was somewhat glad that finally there were some civilization. Boy was I glad to see some houses and shop lots! ;P

Some of these days I'll tour Ipoh. ;D

It was 8+ when we finally reached Penang. Believe it or not, I was so certain that we were on the Penang bridge at that time even though the sky was already so dark and I couldn't see any signboards indicating my hunch. And I was definitely more than excited and HYPER when I realized I was right above the Straits Sea. Gosh I adore the ocean! <3 Like, seriously!

That night I had my first taste of the famous Penang Char Kuey Teow. I'm sorry I'm not that a professional food critic or taster because as far as I'm concerned, besides the portion and price, I could not really point out the differences in taste between that in Penang and those in KL. Sorry, I just suck at that man! Most food taste the same to me! HAHA

I'm polishing myself on that skill though. ;P

No idea what you call this but it was quite tasty. =D

The night eatery street where we had our dinner on the first night.

Fried oysters! Not bad though since it was my first time trying this dish.

And definitely not forgetting my first Penang Fried Kuey Teow! Hmm, yummmm!

Throughout the entire period we were at Penang, we stayed in my mum's friend's sis' house. On the second night onwards, we were 'transferred' to the guest house which was separated from the main house. If that's what you call it cause idk what terms to give them. ;P

One thing I realized about Penangites, they seem pretty wealthy to me. Well, at least the houses they live in are quite big compared to most houses we have in KL. Some were just like mansions! Well, they probably are though. Gee, just how nice would it be to have a separate guest house. Ahh, I wish, I wish. ;P

However, one downside of the trip was that, I had not had comfortable nights. Gosh, my nights were just plain restless! I'm sorry but I really don't mean to be ungrateful or what but really, my whole body from head to toe has been bitten by mosquitoes and when I got back from KL only did I realize there were actually pretty obvious mosquito punctures on my limbs. Sigh =( I seriously dislike mosquitoes! Good thing I'm not down with Dengue fever. Not even close to that. Hmm, maybe I should be thankful for that, at least. Sorry for the complains though. Yikes =/

I think I love Penang. =)

I guess if I were to go there for a second time, I would not seem so much like a lost traveler but as someone who would be able to go about the island. =)

Thanks for everything! =D

Looking forward to my next trip, hopefully soon. =D

It's the time of the year for flowers, chocolates, lovely gifts, sweet messages, hugs and kisses! xoxo =P

Loveliest chocolates I've ever received. Thank you <3

Body Glove, white, stripes. I told you. =P

Thank you for everything. =) And there's always a first time for everything.

*melts* omg, oh gosh. *meltzzzzzzzzzzzz*

<3

=)

Lots of love to all of you people out there!
Happy Valentine's Day! =)

around klang valley in 24 hours

Bai Nian was super FUN! =D

It was my first time going on a so-called CNY tour with them. And I am so glad I went. =)

Kah Kit's house, Wei Ming's house at Puchong, lunch, oh and breakfast at Steven Corner, Moong's house, Ting Sen's house and too bad I missed out the rest. I am so sorry I had to leave earlier. I wish I could have stayed with you guys though. =(

And I missed out the one place I wanted to go so badly. ='(

Oh well, all I can hope for now is to be able to go next year. =]

And I didn't know I would be gambling so um, continuously! XD Lost and won some, but it's the game that we enjoyed the most right? =)

And later in the night, I adjourned to Luen's party at his house. Luckily we- me and Yi Ting, were able to locate his house on that lone street with zero streetlights! It was uber dark I tell you!

But nonetheless, it was a great 2-hour spent there. I got to catch up with my old buddies and the unfortunate thing for that entire day is, we did not take any pictures! =(

Thanks all for inviting me and sharing the fun moments with me. Thank you so much! =D

Hoping to have such events next CNY too! =D

random yet awesome we became

Oh look! Chan Tong added me and I was tagged! Lucky me! =D

Like, for the super very first time, I've got a picture with mum and bro together. =)

And my 'Lady Gaga' cousin sis, Samantha. =)

And definitely not forgetting my awesome cousin bro! Oh the one at the middle is Chan Tong, his buddy. ; )

Ain't he handsome? Awhhhhhh... ;P He's really superb. He is the one we all grew up together with and the one that have serviced my Kelisa so many times. ;P It was his before I used it. And influenced greatly by him and his younger bro  for me to join scouts. Thanks mate! =)

Of course, I LOVE YOU SHENG! ;D

Ahh, the charm. ;P

So we had nothing better to do than roaming the grounds of First World Indoor and taking random pictures at random spots. ;P We had fun!

Driver for the trip and buddy for poker cards. HAHA

And our scrumptious and filling breakfast for the second day. Credits to Sheng, Chan Tong, bro, aunt and myself! =D

My awesomest mum! <3 =D

Told you we did random shots! There's another shot of us together with spects. Hmm, I guess it's in cousin sis' camera. HOPEFULLY, she would upload it soon. =D

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR people! Still! ;D

PS. I look fat. Gee, I am fat. =(

let's be eat, pray, love!

I wanna go on a vacation and stay in a resort like that. And waking up with the cool sea breeze wafting through my hair. I wanna leave footprints behind as I stroll along the sandy shoreline.  I wanna pick up seashells and have an exclusive collection just for myself for remembrance. I wanna write messages on strips of paper and stuff them into empty glass bottles and throw them far away into the sea. I wanna watch sunrise and sunset. I wanna immerse myself in the icy cool crystal clear sea water and swimming alongside sea creatures.

I wanna go to the beach. =)

i love watching the starry night at Genting

Escapism. We totally needed that. =)

So we went to Genting! And it was way more fun than I thought it would be. So much thanks to mum and uncle and his family for inviting. It was not planned in advanced though. Sort of a last minute decision, like, the day before we left for Genting? ;P

I think this was my first time staying at Awana resort but then my cousin sis insisted it wasn't. HAHA

And I realized, cousin bro's driving was fast, and scaaaaaryyyyyyy! ;P He even claimed he drifted! And he brought his friend along too, Zhan Dong if that's the way his name is spelled.

Too bad those pictures we took were either in his camera or cousin sis' one. And um, I've totally no idea if I'll ever lay hands on those pictures again. HAHA. Hopefully I will. ;D

It was a great trip. It was nice spending almost the whole afternoon walking around in First World Indoor and taking pictures at random spots with random stuffs. It was fun driving out to Gotong Jaya and having dinner at 10+ in the night with delicious food. It was crazy coming back home and eating chocolate while playing poker cards and the one who ends up with the most cards has to shuffle them for the next round. It was awesome preparing breakfast for everyone and having jokes at the same time. It was terrific gathering around and talking about old times, when we were still young. =')

I miss them. I miss us. =')

Hopefully we'll have more of these in the coming times. Let's do it more often okayyyyy??? =D

Happy Chinese New Year people! =)

you're wrong, it means everything

Oh look! *points upwards* Merry Christmas! =D Alright fine, not trying to be lame here you know? =P But anyway people, I'm so done with my sem 2's finals! =D It was by far the most excruciating period for us I guess. Having to deal with all the drama and MMH! Jeez, *wipes sweat*, thank God those days are behind us now. =) And speaking of that, my sem break is going on now and gosh, almost 2 months worth holiday. =/ Well, it's 1 month and 3 weeks to be exact. xD

Lots of drama had been going on lately. Well, not really that much but, it's just the effects were more impact-ful though. =/

Just hoping that everyday will be a good day for me. That's all I ask for.

Oh, by the way, I hadn't felt the CNY mood until today, just now, when I finally went for a last minute shopping with mum. Too bad I never got anything for myself, except for a pair of Google shoes. =D But I never wanted to buy just now though. Guess I would rather take my own sweet time after this. =)

This morning, I had a sudden urge to go on a trip on my own. I came up with thoughts about where to stay and of course, where to go. I've always wanted to go to beaches, yes I do. I guess I just fall in love with the sea breeze and the sandy path where you can leave your footprints behind. It would be nice if I could have a house near the beach in the future. =)

It'd be nice to drive there. =) Alone, perhaps?

I mentioned it to mum while on the way to buying mandarin oranges just now. Well, her response is what I would say, highly predictable and expected. I'm not what she called, a seasoned traveler, what's more going alone. But I'm really hoping I would make max use of this 2-month break. It's time for me to do something exciting for my own life, ain't it? =)

And also, I had another sudden urge to download all of Jay Chou's old songs. Heyy, I was a fan of his before I switched to English songs you know? =P The thing is, I walked past Speedy at Jusco and there it was, Jay Chou's concert playing on the screen. Ahh, how I miss those times when I adored his songs so much. Gee, I just downloaded 2 of his albums. And am listening to his songs now. =D But definitely loving his old songs much more than his recent ones.

Sometimes when I'm trying so hard to control my emotions and you just snap at me, everything I've tried comes crumbling down.

But it's about time for me to learn the hard way. It's better earlier than late. And I for sure do not wanna regret my actions. Help me dear God, give me the strength to go through all these and make me a tougher and stronger person. Help me into becoming a much more patient person. Amen.

=]

Also, today's CNY eve. Though it's not as overwhelming the feeling as it had been last time, I guess it should be a much better and greater start for all of us. God bless us all.

Happy Chinese New Year all! =)

Have a prosperous and bountiful one!
